Octopus bh-300f problems, Please help

I just got the skimmer. The instructions really suck. I have everything hooked up and it's sitting in my tank. When I plug it in, the chamber where the intake pump is drains and doesn't fill. Does anybody have a clue why this is happening? Do I have something hooked up wrong?

I just the skimmer running finally. I just need to adjust the collection cup. How fast should the collection cup fill up?

Update : Got the skimmer working properly and let me say it is awesome. 24 hours later and the water condition almost crystal clear. If anybody is looking for a HOB skimmer, I recommend this one.
