So i purchased an Octopus BH-2000 skimmer from Blue Sierra in Issaquah, Wa about 8 months ago. About a month ago my skimmer stopped working. It seemed to not have enough pressure (pump not working well). I took the pump off and found that the impeller wheel was broken. It wasnt in pieces but it wouldn't spin correctly it would bind up. I looked in the manual (aka 2 sheets of paper) for warranty info, and it said contact the store I bought it from. When I went in the lady was extremely rude to me and since I stupidly assumed they would have record of my purchase with CC in their system and didn't save my receipt, she wouldn't help with warranty and kept hinting I was lying about buying it from them. Well after spending about a grand at your store.. screw you.
So.. I ordered a new impeller wheel online.. waited a week.. and that didnt fix it. Knowing I can't figure warranty out or get a hold of this chinese company, I bought a new pump (by now im in this whole thing with shipping and such about the price of a new skimmer). Well.. I got the new pump and the fitting isnt correct on top of the pump. It comes out something around 1/2" and needs to be about 1.5".
Anyways.. with that rant out of the way.. does anyone know where I can get this part? Im surprised my tank is still doing well without filtration for over a month!! (75gallon)
