Anybody have any experience with rearing octo-babies.Was wondering if after they hatch should I leave them in with mommy or take them out and put them in a tank by themselves?
I herd some guy talking about raising octos at a lfs and i herd someone say that its nairly impossible to raise them from when they are born. But that was some guy. Maybe it will work for you?
Chances are the eggs will be infertile. The female will give everything to defend and fan the eggs, alot of times they will die due to not eating for a month or more.
I had one for about six months, she laid eggs quit eating died in about a month. Maybe yours will due better, and the eggs will hatch. But I wouldn't get my hopes up, they just don't due well in captivity.
