I dont know if this is the right forum or what have you, I am new.
I am a collector of some oddites in the world, and I have many very fine specimens.
The latest I am trying to find is an octopus.
I have a 300 gallon tank for which to house the specimen in, but am looking for the best types of octopus that would be a good additive to my collection of rare animals.
If anyone has dealt with or deals with octopus , please post here or email me.

It looks like it was a nice specimen. I have recieved an email about Giant Pacific Octopus.
It reportedly grows to about 4 feet in legnth.
I have a 9 foot long aquarium, 2 feet wide and 30 inches deep. From those of you who have or had octopus, is that a large enough aquarium?
I remmember when I worked in the National Aquarium in Washington DC, we had one in a 150 gallon tank, but it was almost 4 feet tall, (the tank)

I thought the National Aquarium was in Baltimore, but DC and Baltimore are pretty close. But it sounds like you know your stuff, and have experiance with sw tanks. At Birch Aquarium in San Diego has a really nice Giant Pacific Octopus. If that is the species you're looking for, good luck. I've never once seen them on sale online or anywhere. The only place that might have them could possibly be in a very 'Exotic' market, like ones in China, Japan, Thialand, ect..., but in the states, I dunno. You can find octopus for sale online, and occasionally at a lfs. Have you ever kept a smaller more common octopus before? You should start small and work your way, cuz if you dont, I hope you like calimari.
