Our Beagle puppy just turned one year old recently. Great companion, great buddy to have around, and we are lucky to have such a good little dog running around our home.
Here's some things on dogs I recently rec'd in an email. Dogs are great !
If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went." - Will Rogers
"We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man
has ever made" - M. Facklam
"Dogs love their friends and bite their enemies, quite unlike people, who are incapable of pure love and always have to mix love and hate." -
Sigmund Freud
"The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue." - Anonymous
"Dogs need to sniff the ground; it's how they keep abreast of current events. The ground is a giant dog newspaper, containing all kinds of
late-breaking dog news items, which, if they are
especially urgent, are often continued in the next yard." - Dave Barry
"Anybody who doesn't know what soap tastes like never washed a dog." - Franklin P. Jones
"If your dog is fat, you aren't getting enough
exercise." - Unknown
"A dog teaches a boy fidelity, perseverance, and to turn around three times before lying down." - Robert Benchley
"I wonder if other dogs think poodles are members of a weird religious cult." - Rita Rudner
My dog is worried about the economy because Alpo is up to $3.00 a can. That's almost $21.00 in dog money."- Joe Weinstein
"Don't accept your dog's admiration as conclusive
evidence that you are wonderful." - Ann Landers
"There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face." - Ben Williams
"A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself." - Josh Billings
"Ever consider what they must think of us? I mean, here we come back from a grocery store with the most amazing haul - chicken, pork, half a cow. They must think we're the greatest hunters on earth!" -Anne Tyler
"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A. Heinlein

I used to think feeding and caring for two big Labrador Retrievers was expensive...then I got into SW Aquariums....

Dogs are so loyal. I just had to give up my 9 month old Rottie because my gf's female pit wouldn't get along with her other male pit so we would have to cage them and then let them out for 2 hours at a time. I didn't feel this was fair to the "boys". We tried getting rid of the girl but found more people were interested in the rottie. No matter where I went he followed. As I sat staring at the fish so would he ( i even caught him looking at the fish and licking the tank )Dogs and SW truely humans best friend.. Bye Bye Diablo... You will never be forgotten..... :(

I have only had a few good dogs in my time but most were just plain dumb.
I will stick with the smaller pets from now on.
Along with my 55 reef we have freshwater fish, a cockateil, a hamster, a ferret, and a chameleon.

NYY Fan, I couldn't agree with you more on those Labs! I have a 120lb Chocolate male that thinks he owns the joint! He's food bill is one reason why there isn't another one in the back yard!! But you are so right I thought he was expensive...then I met the SW habit!!

If you take the time to get the right kind of dog and give it a good home, they really are wonderful pets. My 2 Jack Russells are terrific dogs... fiercely loyal, quirky, fun, and loaded with personality. I'll never have another kind of dog.

we have a female pug named wrinkles ... she is like our shadow .. where ever we are she is .. and if you sit down she lays with her head on your feet and you can feel the rumble of her snores going though your leg.. lol at the age of 2 and a half months we would put her on a real long leash when we wold go out so she wouldnt go all over the house and as not to tie her to a door nob or something high up we hooked her to 35lbs of weight on the floor this way she couldnt get tangled on anything .. she pulled it all the way across the room ... she is a character let me tell you .. between her and the fish i wonder who are the clowns ...lol

Piranha huh? what species? I had 4 red-bellies when I was in college... they bred like rabbits, it was unbelieveable. About once a month I'd find a new pile of eggs in the gravel. Never had much success raising them, although I never gave it a legitimate effort.

My 2 Sib. Huskies are the best. When I am getting their dinner ready. They sit behind me and watch and look at me like I am the best cook in the world. :D
My male (Bogie) stuck his head int he sump of my one 140. He jumped back snorting and won't even try to look in the cabnet now. LOL. Ashley (Female) tries to eat the fish food, does'nt matter what kind, she figures they like so why should'nt she.
They watch the fish all the time. I even catch the Flame Hawk fish watching them now
I could never put a price on my dogs or fish. They are worth the world to me. (In December Ashley had to have emergency surgey. $1500 later she is doing wonderful, even better then she was before the surgery. )

The species of piranha is Pygocentrus cariba. They are the species you see every time on shows. They can get 14" and are alot more aggressive then reds. Mine is currently 10" and a pig.
