Since I'm off work for a few days with a shoulder injury I decided to take a walk thru the local zoo...below are a few of the photos I took....

Nice pic NM,
I used to work with Egyptian Geese a little bit (the geese in thread #3), they used to roam the african savanah during the summer and we would have to corner then and catch them in the winter (too cold) it was always an adventure and we wound up looking like idiots.
Sorry to hear about your shoulder, I know you maintain a few aquariums outside of your own, that is difficult also when you shoulder is injured. I was in a car accident last week and hurt my back and I have had to hire my brother to help me with the 6 tanks I maintain. Frustrating.

I have several family members that will be helping me out...torn rotor cuff that is work related...1st time in my life I've had a work related injury and the company is being real hard line about it. Likely to wind up in court if they aren't careful. I see a orthopedic specialist next Wednesday to determine the extent of the injury and if surgury is needed. Not a pleasent situation ... but....I'm sure things will eventually work out for the best.

I torn my rotator cuff in HS and it was bad enough that I had to have surgery to repair it. The worst part of the whole injury was at the hospital when they stuck a very large needle into my shoulder and filled it full of liquid so they could determine exactly where the rip was (it was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced, could hear my shoulder pop and crack as it filled). Not sure if they still do that but if so, I feel for you!

I was just looking through some of the older threads in this forum and came upon this one and I figured I would add some off topic pictures of my own. Hope you don't mind...
So here are two, hope they turned out:
