Offshore with offshore

Here are some photos of my big Bowfront with 300lbs of LR. The system passes through the wall and into my garage where I have my mixing stations, chiller, 60 w UV, fuge and EMT. If you see any big mistakes, please let me know. I'm still a novice
Enjoy.

Wow, that is really a nice setup. Did you make the canopy and stand?

No, I'm not that talented. I purchased two stands and set the one stand inverted on the top. Gives me plenty of room for my lighting and fans. not to mention more storage. I did the same for my 46 reef.

Wonderful set-up. You must be proud.
Not of big concern, but with the space in the garage, why keep the skimmer and such under the tank, causing unneeded noise?
You have such freedom to remove anything that whooshes, gurgles, or hums.

When I first set the tank up I plumbed the tank that way. Really it's not loud at all. I added the Durso stand pipes a couple weeks ago and that killed 95% of the noise. I didn't go through the wall till I needed the chiller and fuge. Oh here is a picture of the Huma. I almost forgot about him.

No, not at all. I can raise and lower the lights to any height. I also have moon lights that give a great effect at night.

What type of cleanup crew do you have in there with the triggers and the tusk? I will be setting up a 400g FOWLR in the next few months. I have the tank and supplies and I'm anxious to get the tank up and running. I wanted to have a pinktail trigger, bluethroat trigger, tusk plus various fish from my other tanks but I also want my rock and sand to stay as slean as possible. I figured that nassarius and bumblebee snails would suffice as they do a great job for me and are out almost exclusively at night when all the fish are sleeping. Just curious as to what you are using as we have similar setups and fish!
thanks Bean

I have huge hermits. About 6 big ones and about 30 the size of a dime. I also have a few neon hermits. They all seem to handle the abuse. I've lost a couple but that's about it. The hermit in this photo behind Bandit is about the size of a 50 cent piece. That camera is for monitoring my dogs while on leave. I have 6 of them throughout the home. A couple are for security and the others are on my tanks. I can go on the internet no matter where I am and check on things. If I see something out of whack, I can call a neighbor or friend to look in on things.

I'm a designer. As you can see I'm up early. I work 10-12 hr's a day most of the time. For that I'm greatful. It helps pay for this insane addiction. Not to mention all my other hobbies. Like offshore fishing and RVing.
