Oh come on!!!!!

I finally put my cb in the main set up about a couple of weeks ago and come home from school to find it in the back swarmed by my clean up crew.
Cause of death UNKNOWN!!!!
Is it possible that my tank has "chosen" this is were the fish end or was it a bad choice to add it to begin with?
I have two percs one yellow tail blue damsel
and a lawnmower blennie.
I am done for fish right now but In the future what would be a good choice?
I was wondering my tank is only 46 gallons but my lfs sells small yellow tangs about an inch. For I think it was 10$.
Could I get one of theses raise it till about 3 or 4 inches and give it to the lfs for credit or is this bad idea.

Sorry to hear about your cb biting the dust..I'm sure you are sad.
My feeling about "trading fish in" is a pretty strong one, but I'll still give my opinion. I don't like the idea of people trading fish back and forth to their lfs. I hear all the time that some want to "check it out" before making final decisions on whether or not to keep a fish. I feel that adds more stress to the fish--going from one tank to another is hard on them and will stress them out. I also understand that they can lose their lives in a current owners tank, but nevertheless I'm not one to go back and forth. I think it's harder on the fish to acclimate itself. Before purchasing a fish you should know of how well it will get along with current tankmates etc. Just "raising one for a few months" then trading it back is not something I encourage...just my opinion. I'm sure others will have differing opinions which is fine. You do what is best for you.
Just wanted to give my thoughts!! :)

Sorry to hear the news. I can feel your pain.
Coral Beauty require very good environment. What was your PH, Nitrite, Amonia, Nitrate, Salinity and so on?
I'm sure you didn't just put it in there. You acclimated it the proper way, right? (i.e. Temp, water adjustment)
Although Tang really need at least 55 Gallon, I think your 46 Gallon would be fine, if you have good water quality and lots of hiding placed in between liverock. Tang do get ick very easily, so you have to make sure your water quality, temp always nice.
Good Luck..

Clownman, Great statement. "Life Is like..."
Thanks both of you.
At the time my nitrate was 0 ammonia 0 nitrite 0 ph 8.2 phosphate 0.1 salinity 1.022
The lfs said I should bring down the salinity to 1.019
and a friend who does tank care for local businesses and clients also said the same and I am trying to get it down and yes they said corals will be fine.
Over the coarse from now till who knows when I am slowly going to add more LR to my setup hopefully doubleing the amount right now of 30 lbs.
Water quality is still the same as that day and all inhabitants seem healthy and are happy.
Thanks again
Adam

The temp has been around 74 degrees give or take a few.
In the summer though, but would not have affected the CB, the tank gets to about 82.
