I've had a Scopas and a Powderbrown tang in QT/Hypo for two weeks. I thought that everything was fine but I noticed that the Powderbrown has a few specks of ich. Should I shoot for another week of hypo? I was thinking of adding some garlic to the food. No clue what to do? Thanks in advance!

Seriously, I must have read Beth wrong. I thought that it was three weeks. Well, it is certainly easy for me to continue to hypo. Thank you, though. How about the garlic? Any feelings on garlic, anyone?

Im not sure what anyone said but it takes about 3 weeks for one spore to go thru its life cycle so to get them in all the cycles, should treat longer plus to make sure and raising the salinity back up should take a week. Thats why you see it and then you dont and then you do again.

Thanks Dogstar. The Ich is, with out a doubt, less on this outbreak. I'll keep them in hypo. They seem to enjoy being included in the kitchen as opposed to the fish room.

Thanks feduke
Check my question in the disease treatment page. It is about garlic. I've added the garlic once last night. Frequency?
