Oh Tang Police.........

OK, OK, not really. I do have a seriuos tang question and I want the as many comments as possible. I currently have a 100 gallon tank with the following fish:
1 6 inch Pacific Blue Tang.
1 4 inch Yellow Tang.
1 Copperband Butterfly.
3 Green Chromis.
2 False Percula Clowns.
2 Pajama Cardinals.
1 Yellow Tailed Damsel.
I am stepping up to a 210 gallon tank soon, and want to change a few fish around. This is what I am thinking:
Pacific Blue Tang.
Yellow Tang.
Copperband.
3 Green Chromis.
2 clowns, either Percs or Cinnamon.
Now, I also have a maited pair of Cinnamon Clowns in a seperate tank. I may put them in the 210 and put the Percs in a seperate tank to try to raise them.
The Cardinals are going.
I want to add 2 more Yellow Tailed Damsels.
I am getting a Yellow Chromis, and a maited pair of Lyretail Chromis.
Now the big question....... I want to add some more tangs. I really like the following:
Clown Tang.
Sohal Tang.
Achilles Tang.
Atlantic Blue Tang.
Gold Rim Tang.
Desjardinii Tang.
Vlamingi Tang.
I think that I will go with 2, with one being the Atlantic Blue.
Any thoughts?

I'm not the Tang Police and I don't like being told what to do with my tank... But I would NOT get any more tangs until you get a six foot tank...
And I would never add Damsels to your new tank you will never get them out...
IMO having Damsels in a tank with fish like Achilles Tang is like putting a silk hat on a pig...
Hope that helped

I wouldn't add any of these until your 210 is up and you're adding directly to that one.
That said, when you do add them, I recommend against the clown tang, they get rather aggressive. Also, I agree that you need to get rid of the damsel before getting some of these tangs as the damsel will terrorize and possibly injure/kill them. Especially as the damsel gets bigger.
Because the Desjardini is a zebrasoma, you would only want to add that with the yellow if you add 1 more zebrasoma as well, so that they're in a group of 3. I like the Sohal and have considered that one for myself in the future, and Achilles and Gold rimmed tangs are both somewhat sensitive so I wouldn't get either until your 210 is mature (maybe a year after setting it up) and only if you get rid of the damsel.

On this site it says not to keep any of those 3 tangs together.
Yellow, Purple, Desjardinii. So you think you could have one of each? Why groups of 3?
Thanks,

The atlantic blue tang is one of the most difficult tangs, with the other two being clowns and achilles. For that reason, I would stay away from them. If you have to pick 2 off that list, I would recommend the desjardini and gold rim. The sohal will get much too aggressive.
