OhOh I'm worried, need advice

Hey everyone, I just got a powder blue tang today and just finished accilmating him and put him in my aquarium
. Soon as I put him in though all of my other fish got super pissed. All of the have their mouths open and fins up, some are even chasing him. He's pretty smal so I'm worried about him. Is this normal behaviour, cuz I have never seen any of my fish react like this after introducing a new inhabitant.
Also, my powder blue seems to be rubbing himself against the rock, like he's scratching his sides, is this also normal?

Territ0rial issues can always be a pr0blem when adding new fish what is the tan k size and his tank mates depending 0n ur answers t0 the f0llwing it c0uld be inn0cent 0r fatal

There's a few elements you're leaving out in order to get the best answer, how big is your tank? What other fish is there in the tank and how long have they been in there? What sizes are the other fish and how big is the powder blue (approximately in inches)?

This flashing u describe can be an indicati0n 0f a parasite such as ich if it persist get s0me pics 0r research and identify any thing 0n it that l00ks like a parasite, then 0nce u kn0w what it is then u can s0lve the pr0blem pers0nally the 0nly cure f0r ich in f0r DT (AS HARD AS THIS IS BELIEVE ME IT IS BETTER THAN HAVING PERPECTUAL ICH IN Y0UR TANK) is putting them in a QT 4 2 m0nths running hyp0 and leaving the DT fall0w

broken O on your keyboard? hahaha That sucks.
Move your rocks around and take the tang out. They are notorious for ICh. QT him. Wait for a month and then put him back in.

Thanks everyone for the speedy replies, I 've just been keeping an eye on everyone in the aquarium, so I just got back to my computer, sorry to be gone so long.
It seems as though everyone is starting to calm down now, my big yellow tang is still a little pissed and still puts his fins up when the blue comes around.
The blue seems so very very happy though, swimming lots and eating and discovery his new home, he seemed sad and bored in the store. I had him QT at the store for 2 weeks.
I noticed something else tonight with my fish, they all seem to be doing this sort of shiver vibration with their body, what is this?
Anyway sorry for leaving out details but I will fill you in here.

Fish;
Adult Yellow Tang
Royal Gramma
2 tomato clowns
4 percula clowns
2 blue damsels
yellow wrasse
skunkback
1 three striped damsel
foxface

That might be flashing due t0 a parasite keep an eye 0n them there is plenty 0f help f0r this pr0blem 0n these b0ards if thats what it is patience and a QT at h0me is best G00d luck
0n a side n0te fish can build a t0lerence f0r the parasite if u d0nt want t0 g0 the QT r0ute g00d water quality and plenty 0f vitamins can help them get resistant

Also have you ever heard of something called ridge line? Someone showed it to me today on somefish that were QT, they all had a ridged line going across their body from the front to the back. When I got home today, I don't know if I was being paranoid but I thought I saw this on my fish, could they just have that from being upset about the new fish being intoduced? Don't know if I'm being paranoid or not.
I did do a search on the forum and on the Internet about it but can't seem to find anything at all. Maybe it has a different name for it.
Anyone know what I'm talking about?

S0rry n0t s0 sure ab0ut ridge line but like u said there are al0t 0f different names f0r different thing like I said bef0re if y0u are sure there is s0mething wr0ng PM 0r create a thread asking Beth(she's the sick fish expert) give her as much 0r even t00 much inf0 ab0ut it and any pictures u can get and h0pefully she 0r s0me0ne else can help but the g00d water and vitamins helps with anything s0 its a g00d start

I have never heard of "Ridge line". I even Googled it, in case I was missing something. Are you talking about their lateral line? That is off to both sides of the dorsal. That line only shows if there is a health problem.

ya, I think so, it looks like a thin raised line on both sides of the fish just below their dorsal. Is there another name for this? What does it indicate? Just that there is a health problem? Nothing specific?

That is HLLE. Head and Lateral Line Errosion. No biggie. Give him some TLC. Provide optimal water conditions and a very nutritious diet. Add a rotation of Vitachem and Zoecon to at least one meaty meal per day.

It can be an issue if not addressed. It means that something is not right with his diet, water quality, surroundings, something.

I have a Sailfin Tang that has had HLLE for probably about a year and a half now. It doesn't seem to affect him at all though. he's still eating and swimming around like normal and has been for a long time.
I guess my point is that this isn't a fast killing disease, at least from my experience!
