OK,, I don't know whether to be excited or scared!

I have a bubble tip anenome that my tomato clown lives in. When my lights came on a little while ago and I went to say hi to everybody I thought half my anenome disappeared and then I found it up above and under another rock. It has split into 2. Now, I think I've heard this is a good thing..Is this good or bad?

WOW!!You must have some great water quality in your tank.These creatures are hard enough keeping them alive let alone split.What kind of lighting do you have?How long have you had him? And how long has your tank been setup?Some people just have all the luck.Congrats!! :cool:

OK so I gather I should be excited which is what I thought. So much more fun than being scared. I am ashamed to say how much light I have cause according to this bb I don't have enough to keep anything more than mushrooms alive. Anyway, I think I have one of those 48"50/50 ones (one is blue actinic)but I don't know how many watts or k's it puts out, and then I just have the 2 24" 15 watt flourescents that came with the tank. I figured the bubble tip would die, not propogate but now the two of them are plumping up nicely, it looks good. I've had it 3 months (I wouldn't have bought one, it was a gift) I do know about water conditions and keep the tank in great shape that way. The Clown keeps darting between them, I don't think it can figure out which one is it's home. I'm gonna have a fun weekend watching this play out. Tank has only been set up for 5 months :D :D :D

WOW! Awsome! You seem to have good luck w/ the anems! Well, i am sorta off topic but my mushroom split into 2! I took about 2 weeks for it to fully split. But cool!

lucky guys and congrats.i was thinkin of getting one of those bubble tips,condy or rock anemome myself.but my tank has been only set up for about a year?? <img src="graemlins//uhuh.gif" border="0" alt="[U-Huh]" />

Well Debbi good luck the lighting does go against everything I've read here,but I guess nature has it's own way.Keep us posted on how everything turns out.

I guess I'm just having good luck right now! Joe I also have a condy that I've had for about a month and it has really grown and is very cool. You should be able to have one. And finger leather that's cool about your mushrooms. Mine are getting so big I keep thinking maybe they will split but they haven't yet. My bubble tip had been doing some strange stretching lately and I just didn't think to look real close to see if anything was going on.

MMMMMM. I am just noticing(maby im wrong) but the corals/anem seem to be spliting around the same time of year.

and it's spring, lot's of babies in the world of nature...hmmm maybe my mushrooms with be next. That would be cool.
