i just bought again, an odysea 4 lite system, since the buls are about 15-20$ each, i figure a new light was affordabvle.. $105 4x36

I have a 55 gal that was fish only. I bought a 72 gal bow front and i guess the light was broken, i realized after i bought the replacement bulbs. But, anyway it's really not an issue about price. I just want to get a light for the 55 to turn it into a reef tank. I'm a big DIY'er but i really think that LED's are way above my head. I suppose i could buy them. I just need to know are they the best, ( if i do get them i want all the capabilities of storm's and complete control over them kind of plug it in and it's awesome.) I have read on this for a long time and i am lost. Any help would be awesome. Thanks

I am from Colorado, I have had my tank running for 10 plus yrs. I will have fish in my 72 so my light on the 55 will be fine for it. I knew i was going to have to buy a new light anyway.

Ya my husband said he would build it for me but, these things are crazy to do. I've been reading some
threads. I can't believe the headaches and trauma. No thank you. What i was wondering is do you guys
still use and like Metal hailides or is that not the thing to do. I know there is a guide line for how much
you need i thought it was watts per gallon for corals and such.

I am building a stand and canopy, How tall do you think it should be. Also i just took a look at retro kits and i think my husband and i can
probably do that. With a 55 it wouldn't be that expensive.
