Last night my anemone scooted rather quickly across the tank. I've never seen him move that fast. he immediately wrapped himself around one of my SPS frags (yellow slimer) and this morning he looked like this:

also, as soon as he moved last night we noticed this in his place. What is it?

it's the same color as the anemone, has a mouth and a stalk just like the anemone. Has he spawned a baby? There are no tentacles though. Weird stuff is happening today. I'm worried about my anemone though. He doesn't look good. Suggestions?

IME that is odd... your anemone appears to have not liked the sps in the tank. It is not uncommon for anemones to wage war on eachother or even some coral species. I don't know how rare attacking an sps is, but I wouldn't put it past them if they were irritated by eachothers presence. Again JMO.
The other part of your question is either IMO one of 2 things. First do you have any mushroom's in your tank, red ones perhaps?
If you dont then I would assume that your anemone has indeed split an your looking at a small clone. If you have shrooms in your tank I would say your anemone is on the warpath for some reason, seeking out and attacking corals or it just happened to move over a lose shroom and its coincidence that you see it there.

nope. I have no shrooms in my tank. The closest thing would be a leather toadstool, but it's already spawned a little one and this guy looks nothing like it. It does look identical to the anemone. It would be awesome if it did clone, though, I wouldn't be able to keep it for lack of space. I'll keep an eye on it and keep everyone posted.
as for the original anemone, I'm a little concerned. he doesn't look so good. Some of his tentacles look burned. Is he going to die?

From what I see, your anemone got in a nasty fight with an SPS, there was and is damage, and I am pretty sure its to both. How did your SPS fare after the anemone finished its tyraid? They are both probably hurtin pretty bad. If you have good water perameters, and lighting things may work out ok. I would definatly run a large bag of new carbon for sure. IMO your anemone and coral engaged in a bit of chemical warfare that ticked the anemone off. It quickly moved to take care of the situation, during this time it felt as though it was in danger, stressed etc. I these cases splitting or budding is not uncommon but also not welcomed. It appears that it has split just before battle, LOL so to speak, like a survival tactic, in case it doesnt make it back. Keep an eye on it, look for further signs of stress. Definatly check your water chemistry and prep for a change if necessary, and run new carbon. IMO. HTH.

Whoa! they fight like that from across the tank? I did not know this!
my params were tested just hours prior to the battle. and all tested perfectly. The calcium was a little low but that's because water changes happen on Sunday, so it always drops a little. I buffer as needed using Kent tech CB.
I sit and watch this tank on and off all day. A crab knocked a yellow slimer frag on top of the anemone. I picked it off and put it somewhere where it couldn't be knocked over again. Later in the night, the anemone flew across the tank and I had to pry it off a rather large pink milli. It was wrapped around it pretty good. Both the Slimer and the milli appear fine. the anemone is the only one that seems to be hurting.

Yes they can fight across the tank, however your coral that landed on the anemone definatly started the whole thing. Chemically they can release toxins and stinging cells that we can neither see nor test for. And lastly having the ability to move allows them to seek out their opponent and physically fight. In this particular instance I would say that the coral was a but stronger leaving the anemone a bit damaged. IMO I would leave them be, and just observe for a few days. However, definatly run carbon no doubt there.
