If anyone remembers I have been posting about me thinking I have a mantis shrimp. Well, oddly enough I found this creature floating dead in my tank this morning. I dragged it out and It was hard to even get it out of the net. The reason was it was so hard to see. It took me five minutes to find him out of my net. I felt bad for the little guy when I found him :(
Well, he looked like a cross between a centipede and a silverfish. His body was totally transparent. It was extremely tiny, it had to be no bigger that half off my fingernail. It had a little hunch in its back like a camel and it had 2 long antenna from its head. I did not see any claws and it had multiple feet.
Any idea to what this thing is?
Thanks

I know what your talking about i too have them in my tank ,they are called amphipods . I have gobs of them ,during the night i click my light on it looks like a swarm of ants. They live in my filters,lr and cc. my little blue legg crab tries so hard to catch them. They look like they are just scavengers.
Hope this helps.
