I'm still a couple months off, but I have been getting my vegie garden in shape so all I will have to do is plant when the time comes. Just grow the usual stuff like corn, tomatoes, tomatillos, cukes, peppers, onions, greens and pumpkins. Also have elderberries, gooseberries, red current and strawberries. I've noticed that some places already have vegie starts out, which is just crazy because we have snow in April every couple years.

We'll be getting ours ready over the next few weeks. Still a little early to plant here though. This year we're planning on tomatoes, bell peppers, jalepenos, poblanos, beets, cukes, acorn squash and maybe some beans

I still have a week or 2 until our average last frost date. I will be planting the standard garden fare. I've thought about starting asparagus, but have not pulled that trigger yet....
My garden is a part of the landscaping, where I was unable to keep grass growing during the summer.
Getting the 47g FOWLR going is distracting time for other projects, it will be a very busy spring/summer!Attachment 240895

Well, I guess I cursed myself, woke up this morning and it is snowing hard. It has been really warm over the last couple months and all my fruit trees are blooming and with the record rain and now snow I do not think I will have much of a crop this year.

we plant at my in-laws, as my yard is the domain of my pups to do their business. We plant three types of tomatoes (beefsteak, plum, and cherry), cucumbers, zucchini, green peppers, cabbage, lettuce (a couple types, but I don't remember what), herbs (a BUNCH), pumpkins, watermelons, cantaloupe, green onions, red onions, we have tried potatoes in the past...not good, and we generally try something new each year (last year we tried garlic...not too shabby!)

I've had that problem too, but now there are some really good deer repellants available. I can't remember the name, but last year I used a deer repellant I bought from Ace Hardware, it came in a clear, square plastic container, red label, about a gal worth. It was expensive, ~$25, but well worth it.
