Ok I bought some cured lr at my lfs. Can I go ahead and use additives and lighting to get coralline algae to start growing, or should I let it set for a while and do nothing and let things cycle? Lights on or off?
Don't use additives at all before the cycle finishes. Additives will slow the cycle down. I kept the lights on during the cycle for 10 hours like I do now. Be sure to test the water parameters daily!
