Okay for fish to eat minced garlic?

I just put in some tiny pieces of fresh minced garlic in my tank as an experiment, and my tangs gobbled them right up. Is that okay for them to eat? I guess it should help with the ich... Anybody have any experience feeding actual pieces of fresh garlic to their fish?...

lol yea, I tried it because someone suggested it but unfortunately my fish didn't even look at it. Soon, it just got sucked into the overflow. I heard that pure garlic is the best for fish?

As long as they actually eat all of it, it should be fine; however, if they don't, then just mince up the garlic within a container that you are going to place the fish food, and let the garlic juice be soaked up by the food.
