First of all...my tank is around two years old or so now and since I've added pc's and more supplements the tank has just exploded with life.
All over the corraline algae on the LR is looks like hair is growing. Small white filaments are coming off of it in pairs. Any idea?
I've seen a VERY small white brittle star. Will he get bigger and are there more of them?
And there are lots of small, 1/2 in. white banded I guess "worms" all over the LR. What are these and what harm or benefit do they serve?
Just wondering and by the way....Garlic works wonder on curing ick. It kicked the ick off of my hippo in a couple of days.

I know what you are talking about with the hairs comming out in pairs. I have that too but I do not know what they are. Mine are not all over the place though but only in a few spots but then again I dont have corraline all over either yet soo...

Careful about that ich! It may not be completely gone! It could be in one of it's stages. I think it leaves the fish with eggs and goes into the substrate only to return to the fish... ??? Sorry, read a lot about it here but only retained a bit! <smile>
Hypo worked for me. I'm still in hypo. I may stay in hypo (FO tank) forever! I also soak the food in garlic. Not so much for the ich. The fish just love it!
