Old pillows... new uses?

Hello all,...
I don't know about ya'll, but it seems like every time I turn around... once every three to six months I end up buying a new pillow because the old one looses it's fluff.
Then, I was thinking - what if you can take the inside of the pillows - the polyfil - and use it for filter floss? ... Practically almost free filter floss... since it's getting a second use. I guess as long as you don't have a really bad oily/greasy face and hair problem and use pillow cases I would think it would be fine.

Pretty much. Just read the labeling. Some may have some type of flame retardant in it or treated in some way.
Wow... flame retardant antimicrobial pillows... if they float too then I am bringing it on every trip I go on!
Now I know that if I have one of these pillows I can put a fire out with it and then cut it to pieces and use it as a bandage. LOL.
Thanks Krista, I appreciate your time and knowledge.

LOL.....Buy a better pillow and it will last longer

even the $24 pillows seem to go flat on me within a matter of months. I don't know what the deal is. Lately I have taken two old flat pillows and doubled them up inside a pillow case and then they are just the right height, but firm as all get out. :(
I guess I should buy a new pillow top bed while I'm at it. lol

If you did all that wouldn't the pillow regain its fluff and be better used as a pillow?
Besides isn't the fill very cheap at fabric stores anyway?

Polyfil is kinda cheap, yes. I like quilters batting, honestly. 2ft wide by 20ft long for about $5. Can't beat that as far as filtration goes.

Yea. I've been using batting for years in my freshwater tanks. Not sure about marine usage but hey, never hurts to try.
