Old Salt

I have or ( HAD) a bag of instant ocean that is approximately 8 years old left over from when I had my tank in college. I am setting up my 90 gallon and just poured the 50 gallon bag in about 15 minutes ago. The salt was dry and unopened. It was not clumpy but does not seem to be dissolving very well. Has anyone heard if salt can be too old to use? If so it is down the drown with about 130 gallon of ro/di water. I know I should have checked into this before I poured the entire bag into the tank.
Thanks

SHould be ok. Just test the salinity tomorrow. Do you have good water movement in the tank?

I have a mag 9.5 running sump and 2 maxi 1200 in tank. I may need to put the third one in to stir the tank better.
Should I go ahead and put the rest of the salt in> I have 150 gallon bucket I need to try and figure out how much more I need.
Thnaks
