Some of the silicone at the seems of my 75 gallon look to be wearing. I just bought a 210 gallon and I am getting rid of the 75 but did not want to sell a doomed tank. Could anyone show me some pictures of some tanks in trouble. Or is their anything I can do for this tank i.e. "re-glue" it. Thanks.

I had a glass tank that started to leak after a year or so of not being used. I used a razor blade to gently peel the old silicon out of the corners. Then I put a nice bead of aquarium safe silicon all around (I forgot where my dad got it, but you can probably get it out a good pet supply shop or a hardware store). I let it set up for about 2 days. It hasn't leaked in 4 years. If you have any questions, drop me a PM.
edit: don't forget to clean the seams really well before you apply the silicon.

my 55 is about 25 years old. for about 15 of those years it was in our attic. Aside from a few minor scratches, it hasnt failed yet. It doesnt even have the plastic rings on the top and bottom....they were removed at some point in history.
