Can coraline be bright green? I have some new growth on my rocks and it looks like coraline algae, but it's bright green. I will try to get a picture. It's not fuzzy or stringy, just growing on the rocks like my coraline.

Yes, it can be because I had the same thing and I showed my LFS and he agreed that it was coraline algae and the way that will help you tell is if you touch it and it is hard and not slimmy or smears then that is a good sign.

the same thing happens everytime i add a new rock in my nano. green will show up for a few weeks but it turns into beautiful pink and purple coraline. lets hope the same happens for you. also, on my tank wall puprple coraline has spread everywhere but in the spots where there is no purple, its dark green. nothing to worry about IMO
