One Bad Ass Nudi!

I bought a purple nudibranch today and when I brought it home it was fine for a few hours....then it fell from its perch and started floating around in my water untill it landed....on my powerhead! At first I thought he might have died since he fell to begin with but he appeared to stick to my powerhead when he landed so I figured he was alive. I come back ten minutes later to find that the reason he was stuck to the powerhead was because he was being sucked into it! It took me five minutes to pull him out and I really thought that I was going to tear the poor guy in half. So half his body was sucked inside and I pulled him out and now he just floats around. No movement at all just shriveled up slug. I set him on a rock and five minutes later hes ALIVE!!! Hes been cruising around my tank all night now:)

Unless you take steps to nudi-safe your tank it will happen again. They will crawl up the glass then just let go and float around, till they hit that power head again. If you have an overflow then you must protect it as well so it doesn't wind up in your sump and then go through your pump.
need tips?
