This little Convict Damsel is doing a strange thing. He will hover in open water, then point his nose down at about 45 degrees, then WHOOSH ! He dives really fast and stops before he strikes the bottom of the tank. In normal swimming, he exhibits a little "shimmy", sometimes. This is new behavior for him. (at least I have never seen it before) I might mention that he "owns the tank". There is a Yellowtail Damsel in with him, also, that is the object of the Convict's aggression. There are also 4 tiny Blue Leg Hermits in as well. They are oblivious to the fish, and vice-versa. Any ideas?

It is done cycling. Everything went to zero. Been done cycling for about a week, now. The fish does not scratch on anything, it just dives.

The dominant 3-stribed Damsel in my tank does something similar, as if mine has a floting problem. He bobs in the water about 5 times in row about once a day.Mine doesn't do it all the time as if it was a serious problem, just once usualy in the evening. So I don't if that helps but yours is not the only one ;)
