i would not recomend running salt on anything less that a 25 gallon tank. saltwater fish are use to a very stable environment. in a 10 gallon tank you can drop a tear in the water and the slat content would go up(just joking) however i would at least go to a 25 gallon tank. its enough room in a 10 gallon for a short period but what happens when you have a problem with the water. the nitraes would soar and ammonia as from waste and feeding. what are your other alternatives. do you have a tank to put in him in

it's possible if it's only temporary.. ou don't want to put anything else in there with it of course but he's small enough that for a short time he should be ok.. keep an eye on him he may try to jump out ..this has happened at the store where i work.. keep him well fed and happy and you should be ok
