It was on the bottom and really wasn't spreading so about 3+ months ago I put it closer to the top and it has done much better

Thanks. I have 3 other frags that cost more than the others and they haven't done anything. I also have around 8 other frags that are doing well but are hard to get a pic of. I think I might try moving the expensive frags around to see if a different location would help the growth.

I started with 2x96 CF and 2x96 Actinics. I added two 250w halides (10k but will be going to 14k next). The halides made the difference.

Here's one that I wish would grow like wild fire. There are actually 3 polyps and I know the pic isn't great.

I had 3 polpos of the same zoos, 2 up and left, are growing in other areas now. The one that stayed behind has 2 tiny ones growing next to it, so i thought it was pretty fast spreading zoo :notsure: only been in tank a month. Maybe you have it under to much light, mine is in a sorta shaded spot under T5's.

It does get a lot of light so I will move it today and see what happens. Thanks.

Do you think the lighting makes the difference in terms of how fast they spread?? I havent had any success of any zoos spreading at all....Running combo PC & T5s.....Water is fine and have had other softies attach from rocks when propogating....

my zoa frags grow real fast under my MH lighting. i wish i had a before and after pic of this one frag. it started off as like 5-10 bleached and not healthy looking polyps that were on the back of this colony i had bought. i cut them off and stuck them to a piece of rock, and today about 3 months later theres a good 30+ polyps. ive got a 30 gallon tank with 250w of MH lighting.

Nice, seems like the lighting bc my friend and i both purchased a pagoda cup and its an amazing coral but his almost doubled in size with his MH and mine blooms huge but hasnt had much growth skeleton wise...weird... :notsure:
