One or two filter set-ups

I have a 420 gallon tank with a waterbox on each end, and it isn't set up yet, my question is what would be better filtration-wise, a wet/dry on each end that is rated alittle over the total gallons together, or a single larger wet/dry or fuge? Same goes for the protein skimmers? Price doesn't really matter, just what is a more efficient filter set-up.
Thanks for the advise, Scott :notsure:

IMO, two is always better than one. I would rather use two wet/drys/fuges rated - 200 each, rather than one that is rated - 400. The same W/skimmers. Think about it, wouldn't you rather have one filter at each end of the tank. And let's say something happens to one of the filters/skimmers, you still have the other one up & running. The onlynegative thing about this is the $$$. I know you said $$$ is not an issue, but a single wet/dry rated for a 200 gallon tank is about $280 -$320, and one rated for a 400 gallon is not that much more expensive...probably 50 bucks or so. The same W/skimmers, one rated for a 400 gallon tank will be in the neighborhood of $500 but two rated for 200 gal will be about $350 each. There is also the issue of space. I wish $$ wasn't an issue W/my tanks; I'd have my entire house be a reef, and we would live with the fish!:happyfish
