Only 1 Angel Per Tank!!!!

Ahem....once again the "experts" are wrong! Oh sure, sometimes they're right, but to hear them tell it they're infallible. Exhibit A:

Don't forget to scroll all the way to the right.
Picked up the Emperor last week. The LFS gave me the Majestic for free because it wasn't eating. Well, he's eating now, and his tail is mending nicely, and the Blue Face isn't bothering either of them.
Here's two more shots:

my lfs said that as long as you add them at the same time they should be fine.
is that what you did?

My original intention was to add them at the same time. But the Majestic that I got when I bought the Blue Face was sickly and died just about as soon as I put him in the tank. Of course some people here will attribute that to my no water change + Chemi-Pure method but I'm sick of dealing with them.
Anyway, the Blue Face had been in the tank for over a month by the time I put in the Emperor and Majestic (together) last week. He nudged and was a pest for the first day but nothing vicious, and now he leaves them alone, and they leave him alone.

Maybe you should only have 1 so that they don't get picked on and have their tail shredded like the angel in your last pic

Those are really quality photos, You must have a great camera.
One thing, I dont like haveing to scroll to the right, to see all of a photo. Why dont you resize them smaller ??
The fish look really nice but IMO, one month or one week is not long enough to start claiming success with your experiment or saying that the experts are wrong. Im not saying you are wrong, just that you cant know yet. Those fish will get bigger and meaner and develop attitudes like any other fish does with age and only them ( years, if it goes that long ) can you know if the experts are wrong.
I do wish you luck for the sake of those animals....

I forgot to mention that the LFS gave me the Majestic for free, because it wasn't eating and was in bad shape. Well he's eating now and his tail is mending nicely, as I said, but you don't care because you're another one of those jerks that only reads what you want to read. Go find somebody else to annoy.

It's a Nikon D70. I know, I hate scrolling too, sorry about that.

I agree that the photos are outstanding...but success can't be measured in terms of weeks or months....I'd say the chances of those fish being together in that system a year from now are slim to none. The choices may be appropiate for you and I certainly wish you and your livestock all the best...but this assortment of species should not be encouraged or suggested for most situations. The tone of your post and the hint that sound advice can be disregarded may tend to encourage less experienced hobbyists to make the same choices and that type of encouragement may not be appropiate. It sounds like you have made choices that buck the norm but to suggest that the same choices are appropiate in general is miss leading at best.I certainly wish you all the best....but post back in 6 months or a year before making claims of success.....

See, what I like about you NM is that you offer your opinion without being a jerk or sounding like you're hoping for me to fail.
This is the second time I've had these 3 Angels in one tank. No one believed me when I listed the fish I kept in my 140 (for over a year), so I put up these pics. I have no intention of adding a Queen, Regal, Koran, and a Rock Beauty like I did in my other tank. And yes, kids, NM is right, don't try this at home! It takes experience in knowing when and what to put into your tank, and in what interval. I admit I got lucky this time, since I had to wait almost 5 weeks after adding the Blue Face to put the other two in there.

yes, i agree, there are always exceptions from different variables within your setup. By the way, Mystic, beautiful fish and i wish you the best of luck..... just remember people have LONG term sucess in housing multiple dwarf angels all the time, so theres a good chance
Just love the Emp. in his full adult colors.. hes a beaut!!
Again, good luck and i love the set up.

what if you got them all as juveniles would they fight or would they get along good because they grew up toghether and are used to each other

Doesn't really matter, juvi or adult. if you put them in at the same time chances are they won't fight at all. The problem comes if you want 4 or more Angels, that's quite a bio load to add at once.

Nice looking fish! I am glad to see that all the fish are doing well still. I hope they continue to do as well as they are right now, as they all look healthy and happy. Keep us posted on the progression of your tank!
As far your statement though, I am not sure I would be as bold as to say the "experts are wrong". Nothing really has been proven yet. It has only been a few weeks or so. Like NM said, give it some time and post how they are doing in 6 months to a year.
I hope to see your post then!

It's a 180 gallon. That's only about 1/2 the tank you're seeing in the first picture.
LionCrazz thanks for the words of support. As stated many times before I had success keeping those angels together plus about 4 other angels in my 140 for over a year. I will of course update the situation as time passes by, assuming I haven't gotten fed up with the people on this board who get on my nerves and just leave. My "experts are wrong" statement was more directed towards them than actual "experts" ;)

Don't get fed up and leave. What's the point in that? Just stick around and ignore what the naysayers say. Then when a year or two roles around, you will be able to post your tank pics and prove em all wrong.
