Can completely misplace an anemone in my tank. The thing was there one second, then gone the next. When i say gone, I mean gone. I checked all powerheads, drains, filters, behind the tank and even moved a good section of my rockwork to try to find him. GONE!!! I TELL YOU!!!! LOL

Hahahaha, he found a hole in one of the rocks to crawl in & isn't coming out until he's darn good & ready. He's pouting. Mine is doing the same thing at the moment. Now I know he can't fly any more than pigs do. He'll come out when he gets hungry.

Sounds like he is trying to escape your preying eyes.
Not advisable to rip your tank apart trying to find an anemone. Like fish, they can move around looking for a comfortable place to settle.

atleast yours will just hid from you. mine turned around and had his big butt plastered on the front glass for about a week when I first got him. he looked like a blob instead of an anenome.

Every couple of months my Magnificent puts up a forsale sign and hires a realtor. He usually decides on settling in a spot in front of a powerhead while he can touch many corals in order to "define his space." He loves to make me relocate other corals.

Well I saw a peppermint shrimp today in my tank for the first time in 3-4 months. Ha! When they want to hide, they will. Like Beth said, "Don't rip the tank apart to find him" that will cause way to many problems especially with water quality.

I didnt really rip it apart. The main thing that I seem to be missing is a Tongan Fighting Conch. The weird thing about the anemone was that he was RIGHT next to my feather duster. I had time to make a sandwich, turn around, and he was completely gone. LOL. It took less then two minutes. I added about 40 pounds of LR that I had been curing for about 3 weeks and i think it ticked him off.

You're not the only one.... Mine took a little trip over night the first night in its new home, to behind my tank up against the rocks so while he is beautiful you can see him by looking through the side glass... BOO HOO HOO
