Oops I over paid Comcast $1,000

My wife might be right. I'm an idiot. I use online bill pay through bank of america and put in an extra 1 so $190 bill turned into a $1,190 payment.
Now the company said they'll mail me a check in 7-10 business days. My mistake I know but they can't cut me a check and can't wire the money that they received electronically? C'mon

I work at FPL and we have the same policy also. If you request a a refund you can only get a check mailed out to you and it takes 7-10 business days

The guy I spoke with actually offered to put it as a credit so I would be paid for months.

IF? You have the extra cash, I wold just let them hold on to it and not worry about paying my bill for the next 10 months or whatever.

I did that one time with our m o r tgage.... let me just say that it was a bigger oops than yours.

I now pay by check every month.

if it hasnt been posted yet you could contact the bank and ask them to change it or cancel the payment then you can pay the right amount another option if its not to late anyway LOL

I'd tell them electronically refund the money NOW or put you through to the person you need to speak with about cancelling your account. Who knows, might work.

I"ve done that with my phone bill before, It took 3 weeks to get my 1000 dollars back. I called them right after I did it, and they just gave me the run around. Called the bank. They gave me the run around. I ended up switching carriers and banks after that.
