I am at the LFS today.......just browsing, and I saw some camel shrimp. Cool. Hey fish man, can I have two of them. Bring them.......get them all set up......hour of acclimation......."heres your new home fella"..........I didn't think the trigger would bother them.......or if he would.......shrimp are fast, they'll get away. NOPE, Huma took off Camels eyes then slowly began to pic him apart. Here's my next question. I hear people say you should cycle a tank with fresh shrimp........can I cycle my QT with the remains, or just flush em??

Well.......my effecient clean-up crew gave me an answer.........kinda....actually they eliminated the option. They gobbled up the shrimp very fast.......can you blame em, they're good!!

to answer your first question you could have cycled with the dead remains, to start a cycle all you need is something to decay or create waste in the tank. this could be live fish, food, or dead body parts.
