Open Brain Feeding

I got an open brain yesterday and he has a brown spot on him that I think will heal but I want to feed it in the hopes that it will help the healing process. I tried to take some pictures last night but they didn’t come out well. I will post the best one I have but will work on getting a better picture. Anyway, what is the best way to feed these things without having the food stolen by the fish. One person told me to place food around its folds. I have also heard that it might be better to feed at night but that is when the cleaner shrimps come out and they will surely steal the food. Any suggestions?

They're slow eaters to be sure. It's a pain if you have shrimp.. probably the only thing you can do is wait until it puts it tentacles out, or place the food on it to get it's tentacles to come out and then smack the shrimp away with a turkey baster or something!
This is exactly why I left shrimp out of my new tank. lol

Well my first two attempts at feeding falied due to the fish and shrimp thieves. Guess I will have to go back to the cup method. What can they eat? Don't think I ever asked that ...

I used to feed mine chopped silversides. So probably any decent sized chunks of food.
