Ophiura - Brittle Star ID Please!

I was doing a water change and cleaning my sump when I found this little guy.
It is about the size of a quarter. Had to have come from my fuge side when I removed the sponge filter between them as there are two big pumps in the sump side.
My questions are...
1) What is this?
2) How big will it get?
3) Should I move it up to DT or put it back in the fuge?

Hi!
It is full grown.
It is a common hitch hiker, probably Ophiocomella sexradia
It reproduces both sexually and asexually...probably more commonly by splitting. You will nearly always see 3 shorter arms which represent the side that is regenerating. YOu probably have a lot more already in the DT
It is almost impossible to only have one. If you look at the tank after lights out with a flashlight, you will probably see just their arms sticking out of holes in the rock

With all that rock she just added to her tank.....Im sure in no time she will if not all ready have plenty of them.....

Am I the only one slightly disturbed by the fact that "alix" changes from a girl to a guy depending on which thread they post on?

Thanks for the ID. I released it into the DT and it quickly moved into the rockwork. I probably will never see it again!

im a girl... your the only one that seems to think that im a guy... i mean occasionally ill get the "he" since alex is a common boy's name but alix with an "i" is usually mostly a girls name.
so yeah i guess you are the only one thats disturbed...

Agreed, sorry for hijack.
And Alix, out of respect for each poster I always try to keep straight who is male and female. I suppose that's why I was perplexed by you. I couldn't place you into the proper category in my mind
