Ophiura, ReefNut,Mudapleyer Unedintified Hithchiker kill my Clown Trigger ???

it's a big worm , i mean it;s huge i just saw it yesterday....how the hell something like my finger went into my tank???

but trhat's not the story, this thread is not to identified the the huge worm ( which is not in your guide) is to find out why Coco :happyfish ( my Clown Trigger ) die exacly 4 hours after i first saw the worm!!!

my theory is that my clown trigger saw it and went dawn to eat it and after eating it he died!!

a poisoned worm?
how thaT thing goT into my tank?
please help me i am very upset angry ......i almost thought about quiting the hooby i swear ...is just too painful , to put all the effort, the money,the love into those anymals and they just die ....fromn one day to the next.....
my wife convenced me to keep going ......!!!
any thoughts from you ophiura , reefnut , or mudapleyer???

what you saw was probably some type of bristle worm. It came in on live rock when it was small and just grew.
i am not away of any poisonous worm...... But that doesnt mean that there are none...
what were the symptoms of the clown trigger? It is possible that its death had nothing to do with the worm.
was it an actualy worm or a type of Nudi? How are all your other fish doing?

Please try to describe the worm.
Was it smooth, grey, black, red what?
Did it have tufts or bristles at all?
Length, width?
There can be a poisonous mucus on the bristles of many fireworms.

First, as always, provide specific water conditions, parameters, other inhabitants, etc.
Did you see it eat this worm?
I don't think it is, overall, the most likely explanation to go with at this time though it is possible.
