opinions on my fuge setup

I converted my wet/dry filter into a fuge as seen below. Water comes into the DSB and chaeto then it goes to my skimmer and return. What is the down side to this. All opinions are appreciated.

Did you use refugium mud or just sand?

Looks like the only downside to me is the size and limits of the small size.
