Opinions on Rubbermaid Containers?

I have always mixed up my schtuff in Rubbermaid Containers.
These are very popular in the hobby, but some folks will swear against them saying that there are toxins and such in the containers themselves.
I myself have never had a problem that I know of, but who am I to guess what I could be adding to my tank that shouldn't be there?
What other alternatives are there besides Rubbermaids? Glass or Acrylic containers?
Input?

Rubbermaid is fine. I always wash a new one, not because of toxins because of dirty hands and filthy stores.

I use them for mixing saltwater. Doesn't Broomer even have his sump and refugium built from them?

No problems here either, that I'm aware of.
I suppose glass would be best, then acrylic and then rubbermaid/plastic if you're concerned with contaminating the water with some foreign substance.
But I don't know for sure

Alternitive you ask.
Food grade lexan containers. Other containers for bulk foods or resteraunt use like Miejers uses in there bulk area, on wheels no less. ;)

As long as your rubbermaid doesn't double as your paint bucket I would think it would be one of the least toxic containers you could possibly use.

I use rubbermaid, sterilite or whatever comes in the size I need. For buckets I only use new, food grade ones. Most plastics are fairly stable if unless used with petro-chemicals.
