You should feed it some meaty stuff at night. I feed my hammer coral small pieces of silverside once a week.

Euphyllia are photosynthetic coral. The get most of their energy from light. They don't really need to be fed but will thrive with a little once in a while. For a new Torch I would let it sit for a week or so to acclimate to it's new surroundings before target feeding it. It will take some of the food from the water column when you feed your fish. Especially since you said it was looking better since it got into your tank. Let it sit for a while and see how it does. Post a picture if you can.

right now i have it in the sand bed in a low flow area! so we will see how it goes!
and am i right its a hammer not a tourch as they had it labled?

It looks like an anchor really. pretty much the same thing but the anchor has rounded tips.
I think it looks pretty good. yes there is a dead spot in the middle but thats from something falling on it and killing it off.
I feed my scrolling anchor every few days. It looked like urs when i 1st got it with the dead spots but now u cant even tell it was damaged.
Good luck and nice find.

check your water parameters and make sure that you have some good flow. You might want to add some sort of liquid vitamin to the water, it wouldn't hurt. Also, what is your water change schedule?
What type of lighting do you have? What do you currently feed it? Do you feed phytoplankton?

You can defiantly save that. Feed it krill, silversides and a mix of mysis and baby brine and daphnia, that’s what I use to save adopted coral, Let it circulate on the tank. If you water chemistry is good and you don’t shock it with stronger lights, it will bounce back stronger.
Good luck, it looks great so far.
Do you know what the LFS did to it first off? Was it stung, chemical war, bad lights, water chemistry wrong?
I ask this because a lfs by me are such idiots and have no clue about coral placment and i buy a lot of their coral at 50-60% off when let coral start to die off.

I just love it when hobbyists do rescues. We should all commit to doing this sort of thing.
