puffers are known to pick at rays eyes. It all depends on the fish. I have a porc puffer in with my ray but they were added together and grew up together and I never had a problem. The eel should be fine as long as they don't bit the ray when there trying to eat, they have very poor eyesight.

My porc has never bothered my eel, but he has bitten the eye out of a lion fish before. I would not trust my puffer with something as normally immobile as a ray. All depends on the fish I guess.

You've already heard the problem with it. The puffer could eat the eyes from your ray. Age doesn't matter so much since puffers are nippers from birth. You just have to ask yourself if you are willing to take the risk. What size is your aquarium?

rays and sharks need almost perfect water quality to survive they dont fair well with amonias or nitrates at even some lower levels puffers are very messy eaters and creat alot of excess waste in the water so even if the eye eating thing doesnt perswade against the combination maybe this will
