Orange Snails

Does anyone know about "oranage snails". They look like turbo snails, but their foot is bright orange. I mostly want to make sure that they are OK for a Reef tank with live rock and live sand. The LFS said they would be great, but I also bought a star sifting star from them today, and just saw in another post they are bad for live sand beds.

I would avoid these snails although they look great. They require cooler water conditions than you can provide in a reef setup. They will not live that long.

They may have been Red Foot snails, also called Mexican Redfoot snails. If so they are a temperate water snail that needs water temps lower than 74 degrees. They are great snails, they just don't tolerate warm water for long.

HIya,
One of my LFS got some orange footed turbo's in this week. That's what they labled them as too.
