Orange tile "looking" Reef Starfish

So, I got this text from my lovely Michelle that my step son, god love him, went to the fish shop and got me a starfish for christmas. I was at work when this happen and when I got home there it was.
I can not find any literature on this reef critter and need some information on it.
What does it eat, water temp, yadda yadda yadda.
Any thoughts?

Got a name or a picture? Diet could be anything from bacterial film to coral polyps. We need to know the species.

I know right? All my step son said Claus called it was a reef star. I recall seeing it in his bio cube for several months but never really paid all that much attention to it.
It looks like a red tile star but its orange (tiles). My invert book, which came highly recommended, has nothing like it in there.
