Ordering fish in the winter.

Is it safe to order fish in the winter? I dont want to get a block of ice with a fish in it.

yes its safe to order them, they ship the fish with heat packs.
just make sure the place you order from guarentees they arrive alive
and they will replace any specimen that dies during shipment.

I would also wait till after the holiday rush is over.It seems the shipping companies can't keep up, so you might not get it when they "guarantee" it to be there. I ordered some live sand With a guaranted 2 day shipping Shipping cost 20 bucks, but due to the holiday rush they would only guarentee 1 day at $90. Luckily the seller will wait untill after the rush is over so I don't get raped on the shipping.
