Ordering Fish online...

I am a newbie...
Does anyone here order their fish from this website? How is that in all honesty? Do they survive the ordeal? Is it too much stress? Would there be any reason I would not want to order fish online? please let me know... Thank you.

I wouldn't want to order fish online because as a teen my money can only go so far and you need to spend $80 minimun and if they don't survive theres not refund or anything

i orderd from this site twice and there specimins are very healthy i only had one fish die and they repalced it free
ya this site is very good on there fish and shipping

You don't always get what you pay for. Sizes are rarely depicted correctly. Rarely you get something larger, more often times something smaller.
I have had good luck overall from this site. However,better luck in the beginning than lately. Not sure if this has something to do with climate, change in management, or change in sources.
I would still purchase from this site over any LFS in my area though. Customer service team is fair.

I have only good things to say about my shipment. Everything was in very good shape when I got it. Prices are much better than any of my LFS.

I just ordered for the first time about a month agi and my shipment of coral came to me in perfect shape and one piece was even larger than what was promised. Lot better prices than my lfs and alot better selection!

Yes,,,I ordered from here and was very happy. Everything came in perfect shape and all my fish are doing great!!

I have ordered twice from SWF.com and I have been very happy with my fish. I got an Emperor angel that was close to 4" long! Larger than advertised, and it's a burly monster! LOL! I love that fish! I've had a couple off loses, and aneome (sp?) arrived DOA and a clow trigger only lasted a few days. I got credit for both of them, no problem. You just have to follow their rules. I highly recomend buying from SWF.com. The only problem I have with them, is that they are always sold out of the fish that I want! *G*

I do too, but the fish stores that I have to drive 100 to go to suck, the fish are a lot more exspensive and often unhealthy.
I've only been disapointed by the size of the neon gobies, they are so tiny!

Just wanted to note something not mentioned...when I order fish on-line it is the same type delivery that the LFS gets...meaning the fish at the LFS were also shipped.
That said I've ordered fish from here and they have been fine...but I prefer to see what I'm purchasing in advance so most of my coral/fish purchases are from trusted LFS's
Either way they have been shipped from someplace to somebody.

I have ordered fish online and also purchased from lfs. I have found that fish bought online, as long as you have checked them out to be legitimate, are much better, healthier and live far longer than lfs. stores. I have brought from this site and the service, fish and quarantee have been excellant. I go as far to say I do not purchase from lfs anymore, but order everything on line. I only save a few pennies after shipping but the fish and inverts have been far superior.

i ordered from here my one perc is thriving, and only 2 things had died out of my about 20 items i got, on perc, and a scarlet hermit, but everything else looks really good, i tell you what its better quality than some of my LFS
