What is the minimum watts per gallon to have a tort?
I plan to set up a new tank and I really would like to have a tort but I dont want to kill it.
SOOOOOO what is the consensus?

IMO at least some amount of MH.

depending on how close to the light, size and dimensions of the tank, 175w mh would be minimum, with 250 or 400 watters better. Just remember flow and water chemistry are equally important.

Waterquality comes before anything when it comes to SPS. You can have the best lights, but if your water is off, you will get nothing.
