Actually....I still have him. He's a flame boxfish (aka a white bar boxfish) from the temperate waters of southern Australia. I keep him in my cold water tank ( temp 58 F) along wih a few other fish from the region. Here he is....along with a few of his tankmates:

How in the world did you get ahold of them? I've never seen fish like that at a lfs, or at a public aquarium for that matter. They're very beautiful!

So you go and post 3 more awesome fish and don't tell us what they are!! :help: I am glad the little flame guy is still around, I could watch him all day.

Hey Steve, let's see some full tank shots of your cold water tank. Also, what kinds of fish are those you posted pics of?

Very nice

What is that last fish?? nver seen anything like that before.
You should make that tank an exhibit in the Living Seas at Epcot. Even they dont have fish that nice in their display tanks.

The previous pics are ....minus the latin names
1) male flame boxfish
2) female Shaw's boxfish
3) male Shaw's boxfish
4) western blue devil (related to warm water comets or bettas)
5) grunt sculpin from Puget Sound
My cold water system is really a ghetto system that I have tucked in with my equipment of my main 850 gal system. In fact, it used to be the refugium for that tank. It's really hard to take good pics of the cold tank since the lighting is just T5's and there's lots of reflections. The stock comes from either Puget Sound when I go diving or from a cold water Australian wholesaler in Tasmania that mostly supplies public aquariums. Most of these guys don't make it to our warm water markets since so few folks around here have cold tanks. Here are a few more...

That cold water system is awesome if you ask me. Can you please provide more details on the system itself? Also, what are the pink anemone looking things?
I guess most cold water creatures are going to be expensive to buy since there's not a lot of people running cold tanks. Would you say that's true Steve?
