ornate ghost pipefish

has anyone ever kept ornate ghost pipefish. if so, can u provide ur experience with them and maybe care. thanx

I dont really think anyone keeps these. from what I read, those that did make it to the US, they perish withing a few months.
something better off left in the ocean

talk about exotic...u are really into these wierd (i mean it in a good way) fish arent u antwon ???
However i agree with teresaQ 100% on this as some of the more exotic fish should be kept in the ocean. We just dont have the knowledge or tech to keep these types of animals as pets imo. Thats why god let us have dogs and cats...i think were kinda cheatin him with are own little oceans but thats JMO.

very true 1guydude! But most of these species I want end up not being suitable for my tank or the requirements are expert level (and I am certainly no expert) but thanx anyway for the input.

Hey lol we have the same amount of posts, right on! Dont get me wrong im no church goer....im just sayin i dont think many of us here are experts...i would try and train them to eat the fozen foods at least..sm frozen food lol. I saw one of these flat pipefish at one of the LFS it was even in their reef tank, i didnt get it cuz i knew it was hard to take care of!!!!! But watever floats ur boat!
o o you should get a filefish like the backsaddle mimic

i had dragonface pipefish in my tank for about three months. everyone said it would die because my tank wasn't mature and their were not that many copepods. He survived though, but did die(not due to lack of food)...my arrow crab killed her.

And you kept an arrow crab with DF's becaaaaaaaaauuuuuuusssssseeeee?
That was a done deal from the start.

i didnt really know...i wuz new to the hobby. that arrow crab cost me over like 90 hermit crabs and some damsels too, i just didn't know they ate like that.
