OT: cold remedies

I've had a nasty cold since last sunday, and I can't seem to shake it. You guys got any home remedies to try? Thanks.

I know it wont cure your virus but it will help. Try theraflu for colds or just for the flu. It will help with some of your symptoms.

Seriously--old jewish remedies work wonders--and it's super easy to make--in your kosher foods isle you can either get matzo ball mix and separate chicken broth, or you can get matzo ball and soup mix. i recommend manishewitz brand...super easy--the soup part either use chicken broth or you mix the 'soup packet' with water...and for the matzo ball part it's normally something super simple like blending mix, eggs and olive oil...takes prolly 15 minutes of your time--a bit more with simmering and all--throw in a lil rosemary or taragon and mm,mm, good.
(my Bubby would be so proud--so freaked out by the internet and horrified by matza meal in a packet, but so conceptually proud )

Thanks guys. I found some of my secret cold med. It was a prescription I got last year. It has codine for pain and like 3 different types of other meds. Very good stuff but makes me very tired and jittery. Going to sleep like 12hrs now.
