This is the case:
When I try to "save as" a picture while using internet explorer, the damned thing prompts me to save it as a bmp file without a title. It has been doing it for a couple of weeks and I have no clue whatsoever why it started doing it.....
Does anyone have an idea why it hapenned and how do I change it?

It does not matter what type of file the original picture is (gif, jpeg, etc). The comp will save it as a bmp and it does not give an option to save it as another type....

Mine saves all as a jpeg. All I do like on this site is right click and choose copy,then paste into a folder that I made.

I just tried with save,and mine Gave me the choice of jpeg or bmp. Look at the bottom of the save box,under what you title the pic and see if you have a drop down box with those choices.

the problem is that the drop down box only has bmp extention. And that started a couple of weeks ago...

Can you open the file after you save it?

I can open the file as a jpeg, no problem.
I have no clue whu this hapenned but anyway, since there is a cure...
