What were those guys doing both having their members out at the same time? Gettin to know each other? If one went first, he would of died but at least the second guy would still be alive, just might have a really bad bladder infection.

I guess that depends on how you look at it. It is just one of those things that you do a double take on when you see it, and chuckle. Of course it isn't funny that these guys died...but that wasn't the point.
There are stories all the time where the end result is tragic, but when you take it at face value, or only look at certain points, it strikes you as funny.

woah! that is totally crazy! does anyone know if they were in fresh or saltwater? I have swam in piranha infested waters in the past, and am familiar with them (even have one at the moment), but I have never heard of them being attracted to urine! It is sorta funny though, all the cows in the more jungle areas in Bolivia don't have any teets because they dangle in the water, and the piranha bite them off.
As to the comments about why those guys were swimming

, this probably happened in a very, shall we say "rural" area and the people probably don't have swimsuits, swimming

is just the accepted way to go in the water. Also, peeing in the water is probably also generally accepted.
