other lighting

Has anyone ever put 2 different lights on 1 set up? I have a 24in. compact 130 watt. that I have been using on a 45g. hex. Could I still use the compact on 1 side of a 55g. and buy some another lighting for the other side? What would you suggest?

shure I have two 36 inch lights on my 125
Id try and stick to the same light so theres not one side of your tank thats brighter than the other
